Shallots _ 8

Garlic _ 5 pods

Tomato _ 1 medium size

Moong gramdal _ 1 tsp.

Pepper _ 1/2tsp

Jeera _ 1/4tsp

Dhania _ 1/4tsp

Sambar chilly powder _ 1/2tsp

Water _ 2 cup

Salt _ 1 tsp. ( to taste )

Temper:

Onion _ 1 medium size, finely chopped

Pepper powder __ 1/2tsp

Ghee _ 1 tsp.

Jeera _ 1/2tsp

Method:

1. Take a pressure cooker, add the peeled shallots, garlic, tamato, blackpepper, jeera,coriander seeds, moongdal, sambarpowder, salt and washed & cut drumstick.

2. Add enough water and allow it to cook for 3 whistle.

3. After pressure settles,take the contents in a strainer& remove the pulp of the drumstick. Take the cooked water in a separate bowl and the cooked contents in a mixer jar.

4. Grind it to a paste as shown in picture, ans strain the contents with the spoon.

5. Take the strained contents and cooked water in the pressure cooker & allow it to boil for 1 minute.

6. Heat 1 tsp. ghee in a pan or kadai,splutter jeera,add finely chopped onion & 1/2tsp pepper powder, sauté for 2 minutes,add this to the soup.

7. Healthy and tasty drumstick soup is ready to be served hot
