Yellow Pumkin kootu

Yellow pumkin – 1/4kg ( cut into small square)

Cooked turdal -3 tsp.

Salt -as required

Roast and grind (fine paste)

Urad dal – 1tsp

Redchilly – 2

Hing – generous pinch

Pepper – 1/2tsp

Fresh coconut – 4 pieces

Seasoning :

Mustard -1/2tsp

Jeera -1/4tsp

Split uraddal – 1/2tsp

Curry leaves – few

Hing – 1/4tsp

Oil – 1tsp

1. Boil 11/2 glass water ,add chopped yellow pumbkin & salt. When the vegetable is 3/4 cooked ,add the ground paste, cooked turdal and mix well.

2. Stir contionously and allow it to cook for 3 minutes.

3. Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard, jeera, split uraddal, hing and curry leaves. Add this to the kootu along with finely chopped coriander leaves.

4. Serve with hot rice ,Roti.
