Plantain Stem Soup ( Valaithandu )
Valaithandu – 1 forearm size
Shallots -15 finely chopped
Pepper powder – 3/4tsp
Salt -to taste
Method:
1.First deskin and finely chop the plantain stem and immerse in water.
2. Finely chopped onion and set aside.
3. Take pressure cooker and boil enough water, sothat the chopped veggie, completely immerse in it.
4. When the water comes to rolling boil, add the chopped plantain stem,chopped onion &required salt.
5. Allow it to cook for 3 whistle. Once the pressure releases, add crushed pepper powder and finely chopped coriander leaves (optional)
6. Serve Hot. Yumm yyyyy
