Small Potato Fry
Small Potato -1/4kg
Onion – 1 medium size
Tomato – 2
Sambar powder -1 tsp
Turmeric Powder -1/4 tsp
Salt – to taste
Grind coarsely :
Funnel Seeds -1/4tsp
Onion Piece -14
Ginger -1/2’
Garlic -4 pods
Seasoning:
Mustard Seeds -1/2tsp
Split Uraddal -1 tsp
Curry Leaves – Few
Method:
1. Pressure cook the potato with salt and turmeric powder. Peel the skin , cut in to halves and add sambar powder &salt and marinate in a bowl and set aside.
2. Take funnel seeds, ¼ piece onion,1/2’ ginger and 4 garlic pods in a martar and pestle and make into a coarse paste.
4. Heat oil in a kadai,splutter mustard, split uraddal, curry leaves, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes,saute for 2 minutes.
5. Now add the marinated potatoes, mix well and fry for 8 to 10 minutes in low flame.
7. Serve with Hot Rice,Sambar,Curd Rice.
