Potato. – 2
Onion – 1 ( finely chopped )
Ginger garlic paste – 1/2tsp ( crushed )
Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
Red chilly powder – 3/4tsp
Dhania powder – 1/2tsp
Salt – to taste
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Jeera – 1/4tsp
Split uraddal – 1/2tsp
Curry Leaves – few
Oil – 6tsp
Method:
1. Pressure cook the potato by adding turmeric and salt.
2. peel off the skin and make into cubes, add the redchilly powder, dhania powder, salt, mix well. Let this marinate for 10 minutes .
3. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, let it splutter, add jeera, uraddal, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and finely chopped onions. Saute till the raw smell goes up.
4. Then add the marinated potatoes, sprinkle little water.
5. Leave to get roasted for 5 minutes in medium flame. After 7 to 8 min switch-off the gas.
6. Goes well with Sambar, Rasam, Variety Rice and Chapathi.
