Simple Tomato Kurma
Ingredients:
Tomato -2 big sizes
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Green chilly – 3 finely chopped
Salt – to taste
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds – 1/2tsp
Jeera – 1/2 tsp.
Split uraddal – 1/2tsp
Hing – small pinch (1/4tsp)
Curry leaves – few
Oil – 11/2tsp
Procedure:
Pressure cook the tomatoes with little amount of water and salt.
After it cools down, grind to a fine paste/puree.
Heat 11/2tsp oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, jeera, split uraddal, hing and curry leaves.
Add finely chopped onion; add little salt and sauté till the onions turn translucent.
Now add the pureed tomatoes and allow to boil for 5 minutes and switch off the flame.
Serve with Idly, Dose and chapatti.
