Takkalikai Mazial (Raw Tomato)
Takkalikai -7 nos
Green chilly – 5 nos
Curd -4 tbsp
Salt – to taste
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds – 1/4tsp
Jeera – 1/4tsp
Split uraddal – 1/2tsp
Curry leaves – few
Red chilly – 1
Hing – 1/2tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Method:
1. Roughly chop the thakkalikai and take them in a pan,
add some water (1/2 tumbler), greenchilly and salt.
2. Cover with lid and allow them to cook for 5 minutes.
3. Now take the cooked tomatoes and greenchilly in a mixture
grinder and pulse it to 2 times.
4. Take 3 to 4 tsp curd in a bowl and now add the pulsed
contents to the curd. Mix well. Check for salt.
5. Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard seeds, jeera,split uraddal,
hing,red chilly and curry leaves. Add this to the mazial.
6. Serve with Hot rice.
