Masala Idiyappam
Rice vermicelli ( idiyappam)- 1cup
Onion – 1 finely chopped
Greenchilly – 3 finely chopped
Tomato – 1 finely chopped
Lemon – 1
Turmeric powder – 1/2tsp
Salt – to taste
Seasoning:
Mustard seeds – 1/2tsp
Jeera – 1/2tsp
Split uraddal – 1 tsp.
Channa dal – 1 tsp.
Curry leaves – few
Oil – 2 tsp.
Method:
Heat a wide bottom kadai, heat 2 tsp. oil, add mustard seeds, once its splutters add cumin seeds, channadal, uraddal. When the dal turns golden brown ,add curry leaves and chopped green chilly.
Now add turmeric powder, chopped onions, add salt and sauté for 5 minutes till the onions turns transulent.
Add tomatoes & sauté till mushy, now add the cooked rice noodles.
Mix well by making them into small pieces. Keep the flame low, while mixing the rice vermicillie orelse it will get burnt.
After mixing throwly, quece juice of 1 lemon and give a nice mix. Serve Hot.
