Podipotta kulambu (no onion&no garlic)

Brinjal And Drumstick Podipotta Sambar

Drumstick -1

Brinjal -4

Mango – ½ ( optional )

Tomato -2

Tamarind -lemon size

Sambar powder -1 tsp.

Chilly powder -1 tsp.

Coriander powder -1/2 tsp.

Salt -1/2 tsp. (as required )

Jeera ,Pepper – 1 , 1 tsp.

Seasoning

Mustard -1/2 tsp.

Jeera -1/4 tsp.

Hing -1/4 tsp.

Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp.

Curry leaves – few

Oil – 3 tsp

Method:

2. Heat oil in a kadai, splutter mustard ,jeera,fenugreek seeds, curry leaves,hing. When the fenugreek seed changes colour, add the chopped drumstick, brinjal and tomato.

4. Fry for 2 minutes, add turmeric powder,salt, sambar powder,chilly powder & coriander powder.

5. Stir well, now add tamarind water,allow it to boil for 5 minutes. Dry roast jeera and black pepper and make into powder.

6. Now add this to the boiling sambar. Stir well for one minute.

7. Serve with hot rice.
